Hi y’all! Happy summer!
As some of you may know I am part of the Littlest Hero Project photography team where I volunteer my time and skills to photograph some really cool and special kids and their families. The Littlest Heroes Project (now called Inspiration through Art) was founded in 1998 with a mission to help provide and capture memories for families who have a child suffering from a serious illness or life altering disability.
As part of my service to the Littlest Heroes Project, I recently photographed Jacob! He has been through more medical trauma in his little life than most of us could ever imagine but with his energy and love of life, you would never know it! What I think is really important to mention in addition to the awesomeness that is Jacob is the wonderful family he has. His mom and dad have also been through a lot and honoring their struggles, grief, strength, and perseverance is also important. You guys are such an inspiration to me. Thank you.
On to the photos:

Below is my favorite photo from the entire day!

Jacob showed me his little belly full of scars. It truly is a miracle that he is alive today. He is truly one of our littlest heroes.
