About Meg

2015-03-06_0130 copy• In my prior life I used to be a teacher. I started shooting with Katie (she’s my sister) four years ago and fell in love…like super in love. So super in love that I quit teaching to do photography full time. Not that I should be surprised that this all fit so well, I think Katie and I share the same brain and I’ve been trying to copy whatever she’s been doing since about 1984.

• I’m a big life enthusiast.  I get excited about pretty much everything.

•I have a  gnarly streak of gray hair. I think it appropriately displays my obsession for the Antiques Roadshow. It also fools people into thinking I’m the older sister.

• My wedding was the absolute best, happiest day of my life.

•I’m definitely a dogs over cats kind of person. I don’t judge though, in college I used to have a bearded dragon named Uncle Phil.

•I really wish that Snapchat recognized dogs faces for filters. I’ve wasted a lot of time on failed attempts.

•I met my husband online. His first message he left me was, “Hi, this is Rob…from the internet?” I think I listened to it a million times. Online dating was one of the best inventions ever.

•I collect salt and pepper shakers.

•Yoga is a pretty big part of my life and I teach it a few times a week in New Haven.

•I’m a believer in magic and that everything happens for a reason, because it does.

•I can’t believe I’m 33 already.  When I was five I thought I’d feel like an adult by now. However, I also thought I’d be living in a castle with a pet unicorn.

•What’s the difference between a dirty old bus stop and a lobster with breast implants? One’s a crusty bus station and the other is a busty crustacean. I’m a pretty big fan of all jokes and puns. I’ve been told I have the sense of humor of an eighth grade boy. Maybe it’s the sign in my bathroom that says “Urine the right room.”

•I sweat a lot.  It doesn’t matter if it’s 10 degrees out.  Middle school was a nightmare.

•I can’t go a day without talking to my mom.

•I have really rosy cheeks and have been made fun of because of them since I was little.  A substitute teacher once sent me to the nurse because she said I looked “feverish.”  Dude, that’s my natural look.

•I love Motown and used to wake up to Jackson 5 every morning to get pumped for school.

•I love people and I love love.  I’d love to meet you and it would make me super excited to be a part of the happiest day of your life!!! My wedding packages start at $3350 and my family packages start at $250.
